A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to inactive email addresses under the exact same domain. For example, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be really easy in case you’ve got a shared hosting with us. You can enable the feature through our powerful, albeit easy-to-use Email Manager tool, which is an essential part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the shared hosting account itself. You will find all the mailboxes that you’ve created displayed in alphabetical order and next to each one there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately inform you if a certain mailbox receives all the messages for a certain domain or not. With a single click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature whenever you like. If there is active email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you’ll receive a warning from our system. The latter will not disable/replace anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be activated without any difficulty if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have created using the domain names hosted in the account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll see a tiny logo conveniently located right next to each one. With just one click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this option through the context menu that will come into sight. If any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will notify you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
